All the lemon curd has sold! But we still have beetroot relish, dried lime, cumquat marmalade and gin and lime marmalade … made by lovely volunteers (thanks friends who come along!).

All profits from our preserves support our access all abilities short courses that enable everyone in our community to do things that they love.

Our renovated spaces mean we can host events AND run our regular activities at the SAME TIME. Amazing!

This week it was super to be able to host one of the 18 round tables being run across Victoria by the Minister for Children, Lizzie Blandthorn MP on Wednesday.

And give our parents and carers at Wednesday playgroup the chance to say hello too.

We’re thrilled to be able to offer some new fitness options here at ACC, after Jess from Phase 1 Performance down on Heidelberg Road offered to run some classes here.

Active Adults (fitness suitable for all ages) is starting this Tuesday morning from 11-11:45am.

Last week we had Movie Club on Tuesday night, Alphington Arts on Thursday night … and a stack of emails and end of financial year reporting to get through … it was a very busy week at ACC (especially in the office). And we met lots of new people which was lovely!

This week we will be continuing to get organised … and we remind you to book in to our short courses that start next week if they take our fancy. These include …

• Podcasting 101 - learn to podcast with Ben McKenzie

• Cheeseboards 101 - our basic Women in the Shed intro to tools course

• Active Adults (fitness classes) - get fit/keep fit for all ages!

• Family Fitness - bring your kids along while you exercise

• Crunch (creative lunch) - we’ll feed you lunch and spend an hour being creative

Our first session of Alphington Arts was well attended with 18 people coming along to meet new people and explore basket weaving.
